With April almost over, it’s time to look forward to May, a month where we get to enjoy two long weekends. Yep, bank holiday Mondays are ahead, on the 4th and 25th May!
The first of these, May Day, it thought to originate from a Roman festival honouring the beginning of summer – we’ll drink to that!
The tradition of dancing around the maypole seems to have been replaced with wither getting the DIY done or having a party – maybe even outdoors with a BBQ if you get lucky with the weather!
